While our Cultural Roadmapp audio tour app makes cultural heritage accessible to untold numbers of listeners through the latest digital technology, it’s actually helping to keep ancient tradition alive. Yet it’s only by creating something completely new–new content, based on new oral histories and impromptu performances, in a new medium and a new format–that this is possible.
That’s just one of the fascinating aspects of “Cultural Heritage and Digitalisation” that I’ll offer up for discussion at a two-day conference in Prague, Czech Republic, on October 7 and 8, 2019. It’s a follow-on to 2018’s highly successful European Year of Cultural Heritage. I’m honored to have been invited to represent Cultural Roadmapp and continue the conversation with representatives of European government cultural ministries, executives of global organizations, academics from Oxford and Harvard Universities, and more. Stay tuned for my report and insights on the event!
